Gas cell correlation spectrometer: GASPEC.
نویسندگان
چکیده
A new gas filter correlation spectrometer (GASPEC), for the remote detection of trace vapors in the atmosphere by means of natural emission in the ir, is described. Unique optical features of the GASPEC include two detectors using a single focal plane chopper plus an optical reference for electronic gain balancing. Continuous sensor balance and calibration are achieved along with the source radiometric and target gas information. Several GASPEC instruments have been built and tested including devices to sense CH(4), C(2)H(6), HCI, and CO. Some preliminary data taken with these sensors are presented.

Representing GASPEC with the World Gas Model
This paper presents results of simulating a more collusive behavior of a group of natural gas producing and exporting countries, sometimes called GASPEC. We use the World Gas Model, a dynamic, strategic representation of world gas production, trade, and consumption between 2005 and 2030. In particular, we simulate a closer cooperation of the GASPEC countries when exporting pipeline gas and liqu...
متن کاملCharacterizing a Quantum Cascade Tunable Infrared Laser Differential Absorption Spectrometer (QC-TILDAS) for measurements of atmospheric ammonia
A compact, fast-response Quantum Cascade Tunable Infrared Laser Differential Absorption Spectrometer (QC-TILDAS) for measurements of ammonia (NH3) has been evaluated under both laboratory and field conditions. Absorption of radiation from a pulsed, thermoelectrically cooled QC laser occurs at reduced pressure in a 0.5 L multiple pass absorption cell with an effective path length of 76 m. Detect...
متن کاملAccuracy of endodontic microleakage results: autoradiographic vs. volumetric measurements.
The correlation between autoradiographic and volumetric leakage measurements was evaluated. Seventy-two anterior teeth with a single canal were selected and divided into three groups of 24. Group 1 served as control (no obturation), group 2 was obturated with gutta-percha only, and group 3 was obturated with gutta-percha and endodontic sealer. Samples were placed in a vertical position in 48-we...
متن کاملDesign, Construction and Calibration of a Laser Ionization Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer
A time-of-flight mass spectrometer (TOF-MS) developed in our laboratory at Isfahan University of Technology is described here. The TOF-MS instrument uses laser as the ionization source which provides an opportunity to investigate the ions formed in laser ablation or desorption. The TOF-MS has an ionization chamber containing an accelerator and an ion lens to focus the ions into a one meter line...
متن کاملMolecular Detection for Unconcentrated Gas with ppm Sensitivity Using 220-to-320 GHz Dual-Frequency-Comb Spectrometer in CMOS
Millimeter-wave/terahertz rotational spectroscopy of polar gaseous molecules provides a powerful tool for complicated gas mixture analysis. In this paper, a 220-to-320GHz dualfrequency-comb spectrometer in 65-nm bulk CMOS is presented, along with a systematic analysis on fundamental issues of rotational spectrometer, including the impacts of various noise mechanisms, gas cell, molecular propert...
